Test RP

Alan "This is a test RP. I wanted to try and see if this system I was going to introduce as a choice in my future RPs if there are any. Instead of having preset choices like in the last RPs, this has a more old school Adventure game system.

Instead of a list of options and actions like these:

[Talk to Alan]
[Attack Alan]
[Give Alan the statue of the golden yak]
[Leave]
[Do nothing]

Now you have a bunch of things like these:

Talk to - Pick up - Look at - Kick - Punch - Push...with hand - Push...with foot - Push...with whole body - Shove - Press - Eat - Drink - Use - Activate - Play - Scoop - Grab - Grapple - Insert - Pull - Point - Sleep

And more. Basically, now when you wish to interact with something, you use one of these actions on a person or item.

Example:

Talk to Alan

Look at Tommy Gun

Push brick with hand


And stuff like that. For now, I just want to test it out in an RP and see if you guys like it or not. I know Xovos wanted something different than preset choices, so I hope this is something that'll work. Again, this is just a test to see how it works. Now for the interactivity part.

{Welcome To The City...}

Alan "Here's the story. You board a train/bus/taxi/horse/intergalactic space fleet infantry ship/ whatever you want and it takes you somewhere completely unexpected: Grand "The City", California. You check into a hotel that has a good quality to it and even better rates. A complete stranger to the place, you try to find a way to either get out of the place or some way to live there until you can get things together, because even with the cheap hotel rates, you won't be able to stay for long having to pay for food and supplies.

{Please make one character, and ONE CHARACTER ONLY. This character should be you or be someone who's almost exactly like you since this is the adventure of a normal civilian in The City.}

[In your hotel room]

*Brrring! Brrring!*

Male Voice Through Speaker Phone "This is your wake up call. The time is 9:00, and free breakfast is being served in the dining room. If you wish to stay another night, pay up front at the cashier. If you do not wish to stay another night, please pack your luggage by 3 o'clock PM. Thank you for staying with us."

You wake up and get stretched. The morning sun shines through the half closed blinds covering your 3rd floor window. You get all washed up and dressed, and you look at the items in your pockets.

[Put up to 3 items you carry on you in real life in your pockets and how much money you currently own]

After you check your pockets, you look at your luggage. All you have is a single suit full of spare clothing. As you look out the window, you see a large space in the middle of all the buildings that looks like a large triangle. There are many people walking across this space and some sitting or lying down in different places, mostly around the medium sized fountain in the middle.

When you turn around, you see what's in your room: A single bed, a mid size TV over a cabinet, a cushioned chair, a desk, a small refrigerator, the door to your bathroom, and the door to the hall.

Jeff got dressed
Jeff hid his hand in his sleeve and opened the door, not wanting to touch a public door knob with his bare hand.

{For Jeff}

You enter the hall. Your door is the one closest to the elevator. It looks like the elevator is under repairs. A sign is taped onto the door. Since the elevator is under repairs, looks like you'll have to use the stairs.

(Ahh, sure thing, matey)

Jeff: "Huh. Fine then. I prefer the stairs anyways..."

[Jeff went down the stairs in order to have breakfast]
[Mid-walking, Jeff started singing "Fifteen men on the deadman's chest"]

{For Jeff}

Jeff goes downstairs and enters the dining room. There aren't any people around to get breakfast, but there's plenty to eat. Pancakes, waffles, sausages, different forms of eggs, muffins, crepes, and many cereals. Next to the dressings for the different foods are orange juice, grape juice, apple juice, different percentages of milk, and canned sodas.

(For this part, you can just put [Eat (Insert foods here)] and [Drink (insert drinks here)]. Don't overdo it, though. Eat a balanced meal since running around when your full will slow you down or hurt you later.)



{For Robert}

Robert goes downstairs and enters the dining room. There aren't any people around to get breakfast, but there's plenty to eat. Jeff: Right, good god I love high guality hotel breakfasts. The City sure is the best.

[Eat two waffles with strawberry jam, a chocolate chip muffin and a bowl of rice crispies cereals]

[eat waffles with maple syrup, sausages, a boiled egg, and drinks orange juice]

[slips 3 colas into jacket and gos back to room to pack then watch TV]

{For Jeff}

Jeff eats breakfast. He's pretty full now. As he eats the last of his food, he sees people come in. They're all teenagers, and they all look like they're cosplaying The World Ends With You characters.

He can either interact with them, go back to his room, or leave the hotel.












{For Robert}

Robert eats breakfast. He's pretty full now. As he eats the last of his food, he sees people come in. They're all teenagers, and they all look like they're cosplaying The World Ends With You characters.

Back in the hotel room, Robert turns on the TV. The news is on.

Female Reporter "...In recent news, supervillains part of the organization 'The ArchFiends' have been reported to become more active than usual. Citizens of The City are advised to be careful when going outside and to avoid talking to either a man or girl that fit these description-"

Suddenly, the TV's power goes out. About 30 seconds later it comes back on.

"...please stay away from them for your own safety.

In related news, the City Gunstore is having a sale on all firearms big and small. The increased activity of the supervillains is making people paranoid, and the gunstore owner wants to sell his items up to 50% off to help people. If you ask me, that is a good business move...

This is channel 7 news."

Objects to interact with: The main door, The bathroom door, your luggage, the window, the closet, the desk, the minifridge, the TV, the drawer, your bed.

Jeff: Haha, nice. I love TWEWY. Not like I'd have anything to talk them about to.

[Go back to your own room]

(Btw, cause am just wondering, do the Archfiends of this game's universe contain Beat? Not like I'd want to force him into the story or anything, am just wondering.)

{For Jeff}

(This takes place before the main story or IRPA, so Beat isn't part of the ArchFiends)

Jeff climbs up the stairs and goes to his room.

The TV turns on.

Announcer "Welcome back to the retro TV hour. Today's classic cartoon: Bucky O'Hare, originally aired in 1992, this cartoon was based on the comic books with some differences. Let's play that theme song."

Jeff: Ooohhh awesome, gotta love the oldies, imma watch this. I wonder if there's some movie snacks of sorts somewhere...

[Open the Mini-fridge]

{For Jeff}

Beat opens his refrigerator. There is nothing inside. Looks like this is meant for people to stash stuff they've brought with them.

The show replays the intro and the first half of the episode plays.

Jeff: Aw, this sure is a shame. Oh well. Just plain Bucky O'Hare it is then, I guess!

[Go back onto bed]
[Watch the television]

{For Jeff}



Announcer "This has been a retro TV hour. Thank you for watching."

Jeff: Well, that sure was awesome. Now, hmm... what to do, what to do... I guess I'll see if there's something going on in the city.

[Exit Hotel to examine the City by foot]

{For Jeff}

Outside the hotel, Jeff can see the City Triangle. It's pretty large, and there are many people walking around in interesting clothing. They mostly look like people who are about 15-30.

Things to interact with: The City Triangle Fountain, The Hotel, the Gun Store, the streets to the Mall, a person who is passing by

Jeff: Hmh. I wonder if there are any events in the town at the very moment.

[Talk to a person passing by and ask him/her about the current town events]

{For Jeff}

Jeff talks to a cute looking girl with long black hair wearing a white T shirt, black pants, and sandals.

Girl "Oh, you wanna know about anything interesting? Well, there IS the sale at the gun store, which is where I'm going. You look new around here, want me to buy you a weapon?"
