Dungeon Adventurers: A Virtual Reality Game

Alan "This RP is in the secret underground hangout at Alucard's House. Here's where MM and I have been hiding these last few days to avoid being captured by Jackuval. While we're down here, we play this neat game on the virtual reality console. It's about you being captured by lizardmen when you find a forbidden castle in a fantasy world and you must avoid traps and fight enemies to escape."

{For anyone who enters the RP}

You sit in one of the many comfy chairs gathered around the large HDTV. Alan has been talking about this virtual reality game he's been playing recently, and now you finally have the chance to try it out. What do you do?

MM "Beat! We gotta play this game together! It rocks! Come on, let's go together!"

The crimson lord of the Red Hand enters the room.
Nowe: While my minions are infiltrating Jackuval's lair, I shall partake in this little game...

"I still can't believe we made it out of there alive, actually I can, it is pretty hard to die now., hey what is this game called, cause I might have seen an anime based off it, actually it was an anime based off a game based off an anime based off a manga based off an anime."

"hmm, I don't know, it has a "enter and you cant leave till some one beats the game and a malfunction where virtual pain is real pane and die in game die in real life from shock" feel to it, I'll have to think about it."
*sits in chair*

[Yes]

Beat: Hell yush, OUR LUV IS TEH LUV THAT WILL BURN A HOLE TROUGH THIS... this... makes no sense. Anyways, LETS PLAY!

Nowe: Sorry, tried some tampered punch, alright, lets do this.

Alan pushes the button on the strange looking game console and suddenly everyone starts falling. Moments later they softly land in a large plain grassy field with a blue sky. A boy who looks kinda like Nata from Gamerz Heaven appears.

Boy "Hello. Welcome to Dungeon Adventurers. Please get into groups of whatever number or stay alone to go solo. If you want, I can run a tutorial of how the game works."

[Tutorial, please]
[I don't need a tutorial! Hurt me plenty!]

Beat: Wowww wow wowww... weird. Tutorial pl0x?

"hmm, I got to test my theory, MM, come over here, I need to talk to you!"

Nowe: Meh, this better be brief and easy to follow...
[Tutorial, please]

hey guide lady, when do we make our avatars?

MM "Yes, Goral?"

[Do stuff]
[Do nothing]

Boy "You do not make 'Avatars' in this game."

Alan "Uh, it doesn't hurt you in real life."

The boy looks at Alan.

"Oh, don't mind me, Nata. I'm gonna spectate."

{If the following is too long or if you can't understand it, ask me for an abridged version}

Boy "Very well then. Here is how the game works. Everyone has a life bar. This life bar goes down when enemies cause physical damage or if you get hurt by a trap."

Suddenly, in the upper left corner of everyone's vision, a green health bar appears.

"You can replenish your health by eating food in the game or not getting injured, for it recovers automatically by itself on easier difficulties. If it becomes fully depleted, you lose a life. Losing 3 lives results in a game over, but you can continue at the cost of losing all of your inventory. Don't worry, real items lost in the game return to your possession when you end the game."

Suddenly, a large castle appears to the right of everyone. It looks kinda like a mix between a Medieval European and Japanese castle. Suddenly, dozens of green lizardmen surround the group, all wearing spike covered armor and wielding curved blades.

"Combat in the game is simple. How hard you hit the enemy is how much damage you do if you play on Realistic. If you play on Limited, certain attacks will do certain amounts of damage no matter how light or hard you hit. You can use any item you bring from the real world as a weapon as well as the weapons you find in the game. In game weapons are magical and have different effects, which means they may be more powerful that your regular weapons."

Suddenly, the lizardmen move in.

Lizardmen "You found the forbidden castle! Surely you've come to take all of our treasure! We'll have you captured and put in cells for the rest of your lives!"

{Event fight! You can't win this one, but test your stuff out to see what does what better}

[Easy. Enemies are fragile and traps don't hurt that much. Health replenishes quickly.]
[Medium. Enemies are decent and traps hurt a bit. Health replenishes slowly.]
[Hard. Enemies can take lots of damage and traps are lethal. Health does not replenish]

[Realistic. How hard something hits something determines the damage done, as well as what kind of damage it is (blunt, edged, etc.)]
[Predetermined. Everything has a set amount of damage set for it.]

[Medium. Enemies are decent and traps hurt a bit. Health replenishes slowly.]

"MM remember when we were trapped in that castle and you were tied up and I couldn't under stand a word you said? oh good times."

MM "I can't believe you left me to get tortured to death by those ghosts! Damn you!"

MM kicks Goral's crotch area and hits the spot. His HP doesn't go down.

Boy "There is no friendly damage in the current game settings. You can activate it if you wish."

[Yes, we want to beat the Hell out of each other too!]
[No thanks, if that happens, someone'll kick my ass.]

Nowe: Well I am a boss NPC in the original RP, but I guess I will play on fair terms with my competitors.

hmm,(thinks) the armor must have stopped the pain.
"hey MM an you clean my gun?"
*hands her loaded minigun*

Alan "So who's in who's team?"

"I am just letting her get her anger out while I can't feel it now."

As MM swings at Goral not hurting him, suddenly lizardmen jump at Goral, Beat, and Nowe.

Nowe: ...Can we continue, now? I got a cult to run...

{For Nowe}

Suddenly, a lizardman jumps on Nowe and knocks him to the ground. It violently smashes him in the face with its shield. His health bar starts decreasing rapidly. It actually hurts a little bit, but definitely not as much as it would in real life.

[Do stuff]
[Do nothing]

Nowe conjures up a stream of blood and channels it as a spike which impaltes the lizard.

Alan "Aw, that's kinda cheating. I played the game without using my own special abilities to make it harder. Oh well, do what you want. If you wish, I'll let you borrow one of my guns so this becomes a shooter."
