I am back

I had an AWESOME time, we all had so many good laughs. It really was incredible. ^^

Whats the duke of ed? It's an award scheme run in the UK, where I live. Basically its really highly regarded by Universities, and well, everyone else. It's a great achievement. You can do it with school, the army etc. So yeh, Gold level is the highest, that's what i'm doing. You have several parts to it:

Service: This is where you do something for the community, like help out in an old peoples home, work in a charity shop etc.

Skill: This is something you are good at, like music, mechanics, anything really. I used my piano lessons for it ^^

Sport: Well yeah, anything sporty i guess.

Expedition: This is where you go hiking in the mountains for 4 days and 3 nights and camp out. Overall its about 20km per day, so 80 overall, i think mine worked out around 83-5? yup ^^ So yeah, if you aren't ready for it, you won't be able to do it. One of the guys on our team had to go home cuz he wasn't fit enough for it, and it was way way too hard for him. So yeah ^^ . I completed this last year

Residential: That's what i was on. You stay somewhere for 5 days 4 nights where you do work and stuff. ^^ We had to do gardening, fund raising, and tons of other stuff.


So yeah, it was incredible. Made loads of friends, got their phone numbers and MSNs ^^. Had an awesome time. Met an American guy actually, he was cool, he started charging through this field and hills chasing sheep, it was so funny. He wanted to catch one and call it Jeremy (he was fine, not mad haha). Guy I shared a room was 19, bit of a prankster i guess haha, he was cool too. Tons of girls, who thought that it would be funny to put moose in my hair and style it up? Rofl it was pretty cool, least they didn't paint my nails like they did to this other guy haha ^^
