*As he walks to the Captains Cabin he hears the Captain shouting shoutin language so vile it burnt the ears of those who heard it*

??:yerp hes pissed ^^'*knocks on the door*

?:Just the guy i wanna see

??:you know when you say that i get kinda worried

?:Tony man dont be so edgey*grabs map* can you read this??

Tony:dude we need a Navigator for this shit bro

?:hey now swearing man

The man had opened out the map onto his cluttered desk. He was standing up, looking Tony in the eyes. Upon hearing this negative response, he sighed and sat back down into his chair. It was black, leather of course, with golden edges. It looked almost as though it would be fit for a king, save perhaps for several minor scratches and scrapes. The man wasn't the type to just throw things out, especially not ones as comfortable as this. There was a half full glass of whiskey on his desk, the good stuff, with ice. It looked as though it had been there a while as the ice cubes were almost fully dissolved. It was clear he had been taking some time thinking about what to do with the map.

He sighed again and rose to his feet, walking over to beside Tony, still facing the door.

"Precisely my point. We need to hire a navigator." He stated as a smile slowly became apparent on his face.

"A navigator? But where would be the fun? No more random adventures!?" Tony stated with a look of shock.

Why was his captain being so sensible? Usually his response was "we shall go where the wind takes us." Quite an amusing statement if one was familiar with him. It was said that he was a man powerful enough to control the wind, and that he could summon up even the fiercest storm at will.

"Don't be so quick to dismiss this idea. This isn't just any navigator. Rumour has it she is one of the best in these waters." The captain replied in a reassuring tone. It was evident that he was becoming quite excited.

"But captain, you are forever saying that..." Tony stated with a look of dismay. "Remember last time? You said our sniper was a dead shot, even from a mile away! And look what happened? He was useless. He left!"

"I FIRED HIM!" The captain shouted back, clearly not liking the fact that anyone other than him could be in control. This was of course true, he had fired him, but Tony found it more amusing to tease him. "Her name is Rin Evans, we're going to recruit her, ready the crew, release the sails, I'm taking us to Roguetown to find her."

"Aye aye, Captain!" Tony said happily as he ran out of the room, neglecting to close the door.

The captain walked over to his desk, putting on his long cloak, equally as regal as the chair, but this time a navy blue. He made his way outside, this time closing the door. His crew stood to attention and saluted as he arrived upon the deck. The sails were down, it was time to make way to their destination.

The captain had raised one arm and, suddenly, the skies began to darken as a fierce wind started to blow in the direction of Roguetown. It appeared that the rumours were true...

*sigh* "Another boring day I suppose..."

A teenage girl sitting on a long green couch takes a sip of her soda as she flips through her comic. Daily life was boring to her and there was nothing ever exciting...to her, at least it seemed. However, she had one of the most unique jobs out there. It was something...one would not expect from her type.

"I'm coming in!"

A loud voice came from outside her door. It was her land lord, old and fat, like most in Roguetown. Rin rolled her eyes and stood up, putting her book on the table.

Rin: What's up, oji-san?

Landlord: I'm not an old man, so shut it.

Rin: *rolls eyes*

Landlord: Just hand over your rent. It's due.

She nods and goes into the drawer of her desk covered in books and maps, pulling out an envelope with money in it. She hands him some and goes back on her couch, picking up her book once more. He sighs.

Landlord: How the hell can a girl like you get money like this?! You don't have a job and you live alone!!

Rin: Don't question me, oji-san. If have what you want, just go.

The old man grumbles and leaves, slamming the door behind me. Rin flips through her book for a couple of minutes until she hears knocking on her back door. She grins.

Rin: A customer.

She opens it to see a man, run down and scavy.

Man: Heard you got some stuff.

Rin: Yup, over here.

She leads him to her back room and opens the double doors with a smile. She grins wider as she sees the look on his face.

Rin: Take your pick~

She was a weapons dealer.

As the ship approached Roguetown, the crew were finishing preparations for docking. The sails were beginning to be raised and two of the crew members could be seen climbing up the mast to restrain them again. The captain had lowered his arm and took off towards his cabin again. Tony had noticed this and headed for his room also.

The ship's speed was decreasing, slowing to a stop just before it reached port. The captain had reappeared, equipped with a black bladed cutlass with a golden handle and guard, secured safely in a silver sheath. The captain walked up to the front of the ship and jumped down, landing in port silently and in a composed manner. Seconds later Tony had appeared, charging up to the front of the ship and jumping off, landing with "style", and attracting a lot of unwanted attention from other pirates, as well as the residents. The captain shook his head with disapproval and started walking, followed by Tony who appeared to be rather bored.

"They say our new crew member is a freelance weapons dealer. We're heading to the North East end of Roguetown to where she lives and works." The captain stated with a slight hint of enthusiasm.

"North East, Captain? Ha, this is why we need a navigator..." Tony replied, smiling to himself.

"And try to keep the chaos to a minimum, we didn't come here for a fight." The captain had appeared to have ignored Tony's last comment.

They continued walking through the town at a steady yet relaxed pace.

On another shore of Roguetown, a pirate captain steps off his ship and begins walking towards the town.

Jonathan "Alright, you guys. Here's the plan: When I use the signal, we start plundering this town. We could really use repairs after our last battle. Atriarch! Let's go."

Fastening his blue bandanna tighter around his head, Jonathan called one of his crewmates and began walking.

Atriarch sat there stranded at sea in his little dingy, only enough powder for 3 shots and his cutlass tarnished, he thought to himself "how could this get any worse?"

how did he get here you ask? Well it all gos back to his last job. You see, he was working as a sniper, there must have been a little water i the powder or something because he missed the shot, alerted the captain of the ship he was aiming at, and nearly got the whole ship blown apart, obviously his employer was a little pissed, but they were kind enough to let him take a dingy before leaving him out in the middle of nowhere.

and so like that, his only hope was for a merical. Just then he sees a ship on the horizon flowing in his direction.

"I hope that isn't the other job I had.... he is gonna be pissed that I didn't make it...."

{Commence flashback}

Crewmate "Oy Captain! There's a stranded fellow!"

Captain? "Let me get him."

A man wearing a straitjacket that is colored green with ripped sleeves, brown pants, and a blue bandanna jumps into the water and swims to the floating stranger. He hands the stranger a rope and helps him on board.

Captain "Oy, you alright, mate? Stranded in the middle of the ocean like that...what are you trying to do, go fishing using yourself as bait?"

The crew looked at the stranger and their Captain.

Jonathan "Well enough of that, my name's Jonathan. Who are you? Just before you panic or ask questions, yes, we're pirates, but we're the good kind."

"All right...that's done with."

Rin sits up from her desk after completing another map in her notepad. For the last couple years its been constantly being filled with maps, climates, and survival tips on the sea. Eventually, she wants to leave the island and find something more excited to do, or at least leave. No one was fond of her and she saw the island as a bore, among many other things.

Rin: Ah, my back hurts from leaning over...what a pain. *stretches her back* Might as well go for a walk...stretch my legs...

She walks to her back room and opens the double doors, all sorts of swords, guns, and other weapons hanging from the walls. She grins at the sight. No one knows where she got the weapons and she will never tell a soul. It was a secret.

She grabs her whip, sticks a pistol in her pocket and a knife in the other. She checks her pockets for some loose change.

Rin: All right...then I guess I'm ready to go...

"Yo Captain, isn't this the North West region?"

"What makes you say that Tony?"

"The sign saying "North West Roguetown"." Tony stated as he pointed to the sign.

The captain sighed and started walking in what he hoped was the right direction. Tony followed again.

"I think we're finally going the right way." The captain said with enthusiasm.

"How come?"

"Well, we've already been in North West, South West and Central Roguetown, and I don't recognise this place..." The captain said with what one could perhaps deduce as pride...

The two walked for about four minutes when they saw a sign which came as a great relief. They were finally in the right place. There were homeless pirates lying on the ground beside buildings, broken bottles and generous quantities of blood. The smell was quite horrific, but the promise of a new crewmate was, thankfully, a good distraction.

Finally, after much searching and many wrong turns, the two pirates found the place they had been looking for. The captain was about to knock when the door opened and a girl ran out, crashing into him. She was about to fall backwards when he caught her.

"Rin Evans?" The captain asked calmly.

"That depends, who wants to know?" The girl replied.

"Houkou D. Karasu, Captain of the Rising Sky Pirates. I'm looking for a navigator and rumour has it that you are the best in this region. So tell me, fancy coming on an adventure?"

he then sarcastically says "FYI I am a mercenary named Atriarch and I have an order from a restaurant for a giant shark, so yes I was bait.... okay a little of the last part was true but it doesn't relate to my current state of affair...... so by 'good' pirates, you mean.....experts?"

Tony seemed to pop out of nowhere behind Karasu to peek at the girl
but a sudden look of dismay appeared on his face.

Tony:hey this kids too small ,i thought it would be a butch lesbian looking kinda girl like that samurai we met in North Blue..

a group of men are seen walking around the corner and see Tony and Karasu at the door

Pirate:hey who are you,havent seen you here before??

Tony:Tony Parks..but you can call me "Blakz"

Pirate2:hey this guy has a huge bounty on his head *pulls out paper and shows friends*

Pirate3:250 MILLION Belli!!

Karasu:Tony please dont cause any trouble

Tony:this isnt trouble *cracks knuckes and flames engulf his fist* now do you want to do this

Pirate's:we will be back *run away*

Tony:where were we...oh yeah yer your just a kid

Rin takes in a deep breath, trying to ignore the lesbian line and the fact that FIRE just came out of that guys hand. She knew these guys were dangerous...and that they weren't around from here...by the way the talked. "So tell me, fancy coming on an adventure?" Yeah...that gave it away.

Rin: Okay...I don't know anything about joining a pirate crew...or what you guys are drinking...but people only come here for one reason I guess...so just come in. *walks back in side*

Karasu and Tony look at each other and follow her. They walk upstairs back into her room and she opens the double doors.

Rin: I'll talk prices later...just take what you want.

Karasu: So...you are decent at mapping.

Rin looks to see Karasu flipping through her map book...and Tony laying on her couch. She runs over and snatches the book from him.

Rin: Hey...please don't look at that...and get up, please!!

Tony: Hey, hey. *gets up and takes the book back from her* my captain was looking at that. *he hands it back to Karasu*

Karasu: Where did you learn how to do this?

Rin: Books. It's just something I do in my spare time...

Tony: Whoa...*seeing the closet* nice collection...

Rin: Hey, don't go in there...its my shop.

Tony: You're right...freelance weapons dealer. Hey, what does this do?

Rin: That's a rifle...that you're pointing at yourself...

Tony drops the gun and she sighs. Highly dangerous pirates, cursed with the side effects of the devil fruit, with millions of bellis...and one more thing.

They were idiots.

"Hey look Tony, she's even got a map drawn out of our hometown! Come see!" Karasu said, clearly excited. He hadn't been home in quite some time, so it was nice to see something reminding him of there.

Tony came running over to see, he smiled as he realised just how talented the girl truly was. The two of them kept pointing at different areas on the map smiling and laughing. It was clear that they appreciated the quality of the map.

"So, Rin," Karasu started as he turned around to see the closet of weapons. He smiled as if he'd just seen paradise itself. As he turned, his cutlass became visible.

Normally people backed away or took up a fighting pose upon sighting Karasu's weapon, but Rin had already witnessed the power of a devil's fruit. To her this wasn't even surprising. It was expected. She did however notice what the blade was made out of. Seastone. She smiled, knowing that they must be pretty successful to own such a weapon, and such a nicely made and decorated one at that.

"You were saying?" Rin replied, attempting to snap him out of what appeared to be some sort of daydream fantasy.

Karasu turned round to face her, with what looked like a confused look on his face. He quickly remembered what he had been saying and smiled. "Oh yeah, you'd be a great addition to our crew. And you still haven't answered my question."

Tony looked up from the pile of maps to see what was going on.

"There's plenty of room for all of your weapons and belongings on board the ship." He stated again, still smiling. This time he held out his hand as a sort of polite gesture, quite unlike a pirate.

Jonathan "Yes, we're experts, and we aren't greedy for the hell of it. We steal for those in need. Anyways, you seem like a capable person, do you want to join our crew? If not, we'll let you off at the next town."

Crewmate "Yo Jonny, isn't it a bit too early to be making friends?"

Jonathan "Why not, Billy? He seems capable enough..."


{To modern day, please. I want to catch up}

Jonathan entered the town and looked left and right. He could see some wealthy businesses, and at the same time he saw the poverty stricken people sitting on the streets. "A broken economy does not a good civilization make." He commented as he was ready to strike. "Atriarch! Plant the powder keg right behind that tavern over there. Blow it up in precisely 1 minute." He quietly called out as he jumped up and climbed to the roof of a building and cut a hole in the top to enter with his knife. Inside, he quickly pulled out his sword and frightened the wealthy family.

"Alright, hand over all the goods and you'll be fine." The family handed over some goods that Jonathan hid in his straitjacket. He then used his bandanna's power and turned invisible, escaping with the goods while leaving the family in confusion. Jonathan then moved to the next wealthy business.

-lens against the wall with his foot on the keg thinking-
"and what happens now? why do random violence and destruction? some people work there ass off for money, others blow it all on one bad move after another, are these really causes for punishment and reward? I would understand if they were bandits taking what ever they like, but this is a town..."
-Atriarch sits on keg and gets his thoughts together-

Rin stared at his hand intently, weighing her options. Maybe dying to living peaceful. Pillaging villages to a nice job on the black market. Hanging with crew mates to sitting on the couch bored, with manga. Living on the edge to barely living at all. Oh, did she mention maybe DYING to living.

Tony: Wait, you were serious? *walks over to Karasu* About this kid?

Rin: You're still going on about it? How old are you?

Tony: *with pride* 18

Rin: Two years...look at you~ *grins and rolls eyes* well, I guess I have to prove this guy wrong so...

Their hands were about to touch when an explosion erupted outside, breaking the apartment windows. The three shield their eyes from the glass shards. Tony steps in front of Karasu.

Tony: What the hell was that? Does this happen often?

Rin: N-no...I mean we have druken fights and stuff but not BOMBS.

Rin runs to look out the window, seeing pirates storming houses below.

Rin: Pirates...

Tony: Yes, now there's some fun.

Karasu: ...Perfect...

Karasu looked Rin in the eyes.

"If you have anyone important to you in this village, we will take you to them and save them. Otherwise..." He hesistated as Tony looked at him with a look of pure excitement in his eyes. "Otherwise, Tony and I are free to fight without restrictions... well, within reason..."

Tony smiled and ran to the door, looking back to see if Karasu was coming. "Hey girl, you coming?" He asked Rin impatiently.

Karasu shook his head in despair. This was going to mess up his schedule for the day, and he really didn't want to get his cloak damaged or torn.

"I guess it can't be avoided." Karasu said calmly. It was almost as if this just wasn't going to be enough fun for him.

Suddenly, Jonathan appeared in the middle of the town holding two very large sacks of money and jewelry. "Now, Atriarch! Let's get our arses out of here!" Jonathan sprinted quickly with the two sacks in hand and ran down the way to the ship.

Tony is seen leaving dust trails behind as he heads towards the confusion

Tony:common you slow pokes

Karasu:Tony dont jump to conclusions

Rin: is he always this eager?

As the dust settles 3 clowns are seen - One on a uni cycle, one With a pirate hat and the last the Tallest of the group..taller than Karasu himself

Tony:who are you clowns...*chukles*

Karasu walks up to Tony and hits him in the head with the hilt of his sword

Karasu:who are you and what do you want here -the seriousness had returned to his -

Pirate:heheheeh i am Captain Buggy jnr , the big guy is Tiny and the one on the wheels is Juggles

Juggles:I want the girl*smirks and juggles his daggers*

Tiny:....

Tony:GAHHHH!!
Tony is elbowed by Tiny and is sent into a building which topples upon him

Karasu:Tony!

Rin:i...i didnt even see him move

As the dust settles Tony is seen standing on top of the rubble

Tony:This...*wipes the blood from his mouth*im gonna enjoy hehehe *ignites fists*Im gonna BURN YOU TO A CRISP *DASHES TOWARDS TINY*

Atriarch uses some powder from the keg to load the 3rd barrel of his flint lock (found here) and just stares at it, soon he thinks back to when he got it, his first protection job, it was on a cruse ship, got it off the captain of a pirate ship that attacked them, they were fought off easily with the other mercenarys, it was just a cheap shot to the gut that took the captain down, the rest of the pirates turned tail and ran after that.

he then says quietly to himself "god I hate pirates"

Rin: Great...I'm about to make a life changing decision...and pirates attack...*sigh* so uncool.

She unravels her whip and Karasu puts his hand on the hilt of his sword. Tony comes up next to them, asending from the rubble.

Tony: No need for you guys...this is nothin'

Karasu: No need to trouble...we will attack as a unit.

Rin: Hm...maybe being a pirate -is- interesting

Tony: Not that you would know, kid.

Rin: 1...2...

Karasu: Go!

Jonathan is running and turns back, wondering why the explosion hasn't gone off yet. "Atriarch you slow git, hurry your arse up and get back here! (Why did I choose him over Key and Billy?)" Still running, Jonathan is still a good 3 minutes from the ship. "Ugh...hurry up...I can't shout loud enough to attract the crew!"

-kicks keg away and shoots it-
"boom"

when the dust settles Atriarch is nowhere to be seen.

Karasu smiled. Being able to attack Tony like that was quite a feat and, as such, he felt like he would "reward" the crew by fighting back.

"Yo, Buggy Jr, you're the captain, right?" Karasu shouted through a slight smile.

"CORRECT!" Buggy Jr shouted back as he readied his knives, 3 in each hand held tightly between his fingers.

Rin noticed something about Karasu. Leaves, dust and even small stones were moving around his feet in a circular motion. She blinked for a second and he was gone. She looked up in confusion and saw him standing behind Buggy Jr.

"DIE...Wait... where is he!?" Buggy Jr stated with confusion.

Karasu was standing with his back to him, and looked over his shoulder in response. "I'm right here, you didn't see my movements? That's disappointing..."

Buggy Jr tensed up in shock, he grinned maliciously and turned around quickly, about to stab Karasu in the throat with 3 of his knives. Karasu didn't move even slightly, but instead he looked him in the eyes. A look which was quite terrifying. The knives were about an inch in front of Karasu's throat when Buggy Jr spoke "You can't escape from this range!". But to be honest, there was no need. The knives' blades all broke in half. Buggy wasn't close enough to reach Karasu now. He hadn't anticipated his knives breaking.

Karasu spoke, "The force of the wind as you moved round to face me was all those knives needed in order to snap. I'd done the rest of the damage before I "appeared" behind you. I could have slashed them apart then and there, but that wouldn't have had quite the same dramatic effect..." He raised his hand, his palm facing the sky. He concentrated on it and suddenly there was a little wind current which was pulling at Buggy's clothes, and indeed Karasu's own, in the direction that the wind's rotation was blowing. He pulled his arm back and then drove it forward, hitting Buggy Jr in the stomach, perfect distance had already been judged when he had appeared behind him.

"Wind Pulse!" Karasu yelled as he struck him. The impact, as well as the explosion of wind, sent him flying through the air. Karasu turned round to face Rin as a building in the background exploded as Buggy Jr collided with it. Huge pieces of it were launched into the air and were falling from the sky.

"Hey Rin, you're up." Karasu stated as he sat down and took out something to drink.

"I'm up?...all right then...so troublesome."

Rin steps forwards spinning her whip in a circle at her side before letting the whip stop with a crash beside her by extending her arm. She walks in front of Juggles, who grins putting a knife in his mouth. Rin grimaces.

"So gross."

"Heheheh, just the one I wanted."

"Freak..."

Juggles charges at Rin with a knife. She leans back, swiftly missing the slash. She leans back too much however and starts to fall backwards. Juggles, seeing the opportunity, swipes again, but misses Rin. In response, she lands on her hands and wraps her legs around Juggles neck, flinging him over her in her handstand and smashing his head into the ground.

"Wow...that was convienent..."

Juggles gets up and throws one of his knives. It misses and Rin goes to slash Juggles with her whip. He grabs it however and pulls it towards him, taking Rin with him. They meet in the middle and Juggles coughs up blood. He looks down, seeing Rin's knife going into his stomach.

"heheheheheh, where'd you get that?"

"What do you mean? I sell them~"

Juggles falls to the ground and Rin touches her cheek, the knife cut from Juggles' counter attack finally forming. She looks over to Karasu.

"Not the most graceful, but I get the job done. I didn't have to use the pistol either."
