Alan "A terrifying menace lurks in the darkness...you know your plank you call a weapon won't save you. Suddenly the door across from you flies off the hinges and a large vine grabs you. With not enough strength to combat it, the vine brings you into others and they proceed to tear your head and right arm clean off, dropping your body into the floor and leaving it to rot with the others.

Welcome to the Survival Horror RP.

Unlike IRPA (Insane RP Adventure!!), this one has a serious and dark tone. Instead of RPG esque battles, if you simply aren't strong enough, you're dead. Instead of being over the top guys who control the world, you're fearing for your life and trying to remain calm before you snap and commit suicide to end the terror.

{How it works}
There are different areas to explore that lead to other rooms (Front entrance to a house gives you chances to explore the kitchen, hallway, closet, backyard, and areas linked to those) and you must search around to get equipment in order to survive.

{Items}
You can carry different items on you depending on how big they are or how much they way. You could carry 3 20 pound items or 3 large but light items. You must take into consideration the size and weight of an item to carry on you. What you can carry will depend on your character (more on that later). Fortunately, if you find yourself over encumbered, you can carry one more item in your hands to put anywhere you want, like in another room or somewhere where you think you'll need it.

...hopefully they'll stay in the place you left them. If you don't have the right item at the right time, you're life may come to an end. Remember that items can have more than one use (fighting with a crowbar, using an axe to break down a door)

{Making a Character}
The character you make, describe them and choose their three special traits like if they're fast, strong, slim, tall, stuff like that. You can put they're occupation and lives before the horror began and what brought them there. Each character has two special items, one big, one small. You get 3 points to distribute, and depending on how many points they require, your character can have one good Special Item, or a few different Special Items.

PS Don't worry. After making a character, I PROMISE you it's not as complicated from there on. If requested, I'll make this all simpler and more like an interactive story rather than a point n' click RPG.

Special Items:
Bags (Carry items. Small 1 Point, Medium 2 Points, Large 3 Points)
Pocket Items (Lighters, Pocket Knives, Batteries, etc. 1 item for 1 Point, 2 items for 2 Points, 3 items for 3 Points)
Useful Stuff (Tool Kits, Rope, Lock Picks. Please tell me your special item so I can evaluate it)
Flashlights (Single handheld flashlight. 1 point for the Flashlight, but it may be a good idea to have some Batteries.)

Example of Character:
Name: Alan
Age: 16
Job: Mail Delivery
Trait: Slim, fast, combat experience
Special Items: Tools (A keyring with a laser pointer and an LED lite) 2 Points, Mail Bag (Small bag that holds items) 1 Point

During a mail delivery to a town, he got lost and asked for directions. A man in a bar told him that the package is meant for the family in the large mansion at the island on the horizon. After a long boat ride to the mansion, a storm came up. Nearly falling into the ocean and drowning, he got out of his boat as lightning struck it and sank the little vessel. Looking up at the mansion and most of the lights on, he decided to deliver the mail and request shelter until the storm was over...

So make your character and good luck...you'll need it."

ok, off the top of my head.

It was a cloudy day. There was the smell of the coming storm on the air. That's when the car broke down, with no choice but to walk. Robert set off to the nearest exit ramp.

It was 2 to 3 hours before he reached it. He then walked down toward a town. It was another hour before he realized he had not seen a car seance he turned back to lock his Ford, he did not think anything of it, but it was strange. That's when he found a gas station, he walked in side and grabbed a blue World of Warcraft Mountain Dew. he noticed there was no one at the counter, so he waited 30 minuets, and still there was no one. So he then tried the phone, the cored was cut. he was getting worried at this point. he then searched the building, he let out a sigh of relief when he saw there were no bodes anywhere. but he was still curious of where every one was. he found an empty backpack and took food and drinks and set off to find what happened to everybody. he walked to the polices station.

Upon arrival, he found no one there He tried the phone, there was no dial tone. he then grabbed the ammo, a 9mm pistol, and a 12gage shotgun with a light on the end.

He then started searching for any one, any thing. He longed for the simple sound of a bird chirping, even the sound of traffic would put his mind at ease. He then walked into a house and looked around, the TV was on, but it was just static. he then walked into a room, no one was there. Exhausted he put his stuff down and took a nap.

It was night when he awoke. he grabbed the backpack and guns and started walking again, 30 min later he stumbled upon a old Mansion. he was reluctant at first. But eventually decided to go in. as he walked up to the door the light on the shotgun started to die.

The mansion loomed ominously over Robert as he stepped towards it. A few of the lights were on, which was a relief since it probably meant there where people inside. As he stepped up to the front porch, a swarm of bats appeared and suddenly surrounded Robert. After a short struggle to keep them away, the bats steal his backpack and guns, leaving him with just his pocket items. They fly around the house. At the same time the front door creaks open, daring Robert to come inside.

{Enter through the front}
{Chase the bats to the back}
{Enter by breaking a window}
{Knock on the door}
{Run from the mansion}
{Stay outside in the storm}
{Check the mailbox}

(Sorry about that, but you only get to start with your Special Items, but you might be able to get your gear back later.)

Checking the mailbox, there is a single letter inside. Attached to the letter is a pendant. For some reason, even though Robert pulled the letter out into the rain, it isn't getting wet.

Letter: "I'm sorry, Mr. Crowley, but we can't keep this up any longer. We must destroy the mansion by tonight before it's dark inhabitants leave again. They already devoured the town, we know they won't stop searching for food until they reach the next town, and after that even further. I'll be on my way and arrive tonight at midnight when the moon is perfectly overhead. We will transport the mansion there so the creatures will die and so we can get rid of the accursed place. Please, hold onto this pendant in case you find yourself unable to escape the monsters. You know the words to the spell.

Chasing after the bats, Robert suddenly backs up and regains his balance. Where the backyard should be there is nothing at all. Half of the house is impossibly levitating in the air. Underneath the house there is a large cliff leading to a rocky cape (it's a term for a kind of inward shore). Guess that may not be the best way to get inside...

{Turn back and go in through the front door or a window}
{Try to shimmy along the mansion and reach the back entrance if there is one}
{Jump off the cliff}
{Run from the mansion}

Alan "You can run if you want to. Do this RP like if you were really in this situation. Don't worry, if you do something like that or die you are given another shot at doing other things."

The front door remains opened, as if the house was trying to lure Robert inside. Looking a bit more, Robert sees 5 windows he could reach: 4 on the ground level and one on the second floor that he might be able to reach if he climbed the drain pipe and got on the front balcony. He'll have to break it though since it looks like it's locked.

{Rules: No firearms at the start, only 3 Special Items. So no handgun and ammo, chose something else. Also, you need to make a story of how you got there, ending it when you approach the mansion}

Robert and Francis walk up to the front door and go through it together. Inside, they see an incredible sight: the left half of the mansion is dully lit, run down and decaying while the right half is beautifully decorated and bright. While they stand there amazed at this marvelous oddity, suddenly the door behind them closes, not calmly, but not violently, and vines with very sharp looking thorns appear over it.

Looking at their surroundings, there are two pairs of stairs leading up to the second floor, and where they're at they see 5 doors they can enter: 2 upstairs and 3 downstairs. From here, they see that one of the doors on the right is open, which leads to what appears to be a kitchen. Behind them is the front door with 2 vases on each side of it and 2 windows on opposite ends of the wall.

As Robert climbs up the creaking worn stairs on the left side of the mansion and approaches the door, suddenly the ground underneath him gives way and he falls. He hits the ground after a while and gets hurt. He looks above him and sees that even though it he didn't fall for long, it looks like he fell a lot further down than it felt.

Robert falls hard onto a concrete ground. The landing was actually pretty smooth, but it still hurt. He looked around and assumed that this was the basement. It was empty and dark beyond the dim light cast from the hole above...which started closing. Did it collapse under his weight, or did it open up to swallow him? Either way, now it was near impossible to see. A sound is heard in front of him, as if something heavy is being dragged.

{Call out loudly in the direction of the sound}
