Survival Horror RP

The door to the right opens with little effort. It is very dark in the other room, as strangely the light from the game room does not transfer over to this new room. Raising his light, this turns out to be a plain hall with only one door on the other side.

Robert enters the hall. The dark hall feels very empty with only a few hanging pictures it's only decoration. The light shows that there is a door on the other side.

The paintings, although pretty dark to see with Robert's light the only thing making them visible, are very well done. Each one looks incredibly well detailed and only get better and better as he goes down the hall, save one that looks abstract.

Looking behind each painting, there is nothing of interest or anything out of the ordinary.

Rushing wind in the crisp night sky as one wanderer walked around "the town"... Home to Leslie Trent, who had away from home for years since those first 2 nothing years of college... Leslie had been through a lot of crap memories in this town, but coming back it all seemed A-OK, picturesque for a wandering artiste. ...Especially since there seemed to be no one left. The town was always small, discreet, but never a ghost town. Still, it was easy to overlook the lack of boring old men and women. Easier to write about a town where people wouldn't whine at you for being a writer.

The houses didn't seem deserted, peoples' personal items were still in there, stores were still stocked, even perfectly good cars were stranded on the road... Shoot, hopefully there hadn't been a chemical spill... Leslie should get out, it was awfully obvious... But there was too much to pass up here.

Leslie scribbled down a short history and a few sketches of the whole mess; the desertion, the quiet... shoot, maybe it wasn't so beautiful... But still, it was atmosphere, beautiful or ugly, atmosphere was what was important.

"The best place to find atmosphere...", Leslie at last deduced, was the mansion. The old, dead one, that no one, at least no one too outgoing seemed to own... Picking up speed, Leslie impatiently jogged across town, knowing if there was one building still standing, it would be that house...

It was there, no question, it was right there... Leslie looked up at the thing, still as forbidding as always before. Something dark about that house, if not downright evil... As cynical as Leslie had always been, the sense of the supernatural was strong, and it felt very apparent there.

But still, that was not about to stop a wanderer and an artiste... Leslie, with a few more quick notes concerning the town in the trusty old journal, decided investigation was a necesity and trotted in the front door...

Trent saw mansion and stopped. It felt like it's 3 stories loomed over him. The mansion gave off an ominous aura, like something was very strange or menacing about the place. Behind the mansion, Trent hears the sounds of the ocean.

Lights were on in different windows, so maybe people where there. The front porch had a single rocking chair in front and 4 windows, 2 on the left and 2 on the right. The top was covered by a flat balcony that one could access on the second floor. The mailbox shows that there is mail that has been unchecked.

[Knock on the front door]
[Try to enter through the front door]
[Try to go to the back]

[Climb up the drain pipe to the balcony]

{For Robert}

Robert opens the door and looks around. He sees that this is the kitchen. There is a refrigerator next to a stove on the left, many cabinets and an oven on the right, and a table ahead. To the far right Robert sees a door, which he believes is where the front is, and to the left there is another door next to the refridgerator.

Stepping inside, he sees quite a grim sight. The kitchen has blood everywhere: smeared across the walls, all over the floor, and a pot on the stove is filled with it. Many of the kitchen utensils are also blood soaked, and a girl's body is lying on the table, many knives sticking out of it. Looks like she died recently.

Trent had seen nary a light on in the town since arriving, and never recalled seeing lights on in this house... Damn, lights on in this place probably meant that this place had something to do with... Whatever happened to the town.

Not wanting to immediately alert anyone mad enough to stay in a house in a ghost town... or the house itself, Trent tries to quietly

{For Robert}

Robert looks at the fridge. Blood is covering every part of the once white fridge, as well as some of the papers. Some are notices and one looks like a map, probably made by a child since it was drawn with crayons.

Opening the fridge, Robert sees some bloody limbs inside. A few severed arms rest in the racks, one of them covered with ice.

After trying a few windows, the one on the far right with the lights on opens with a click and fits him.

Inside, the room is very greatly decorated. There are 2 lamps illuminating the room, a fireplace to the right, a table with a fine oak finish, a couch to the left, and a dresser cabinet with a mirror on it that strangely seems out of place. There are two doors, one to the left and one to the right.

Robert slams the fridge in disgust and examines the dead girl's corpse. The knives sticking out of her all from this kitchen. One especially nasty one that sticks out is the butcher knife jammed into her head.

Reaching carefully into her pockets, Robert finds a laser pointer and a pen.

Examining the dresser, Trent sees his own reflection. The mirror is completely clean with no spots or any fingerprints visible.

While looking at the mirror, the image suddenly changes as blood begins to flood in through the windows. As it steadily floods into the room it builds up in an invisible barrier then crashes down onto Trent. Looking away from the mirror however, everything is perfectly fine...except for the new bloodstains on the window he came in through.

Opening the dresser, there is a packet of cigarettes and an open letter.

The letter reads:

"Dear Mr. Crowley,

Can you please find and return my lighter to me? I haven't been able to light my smokes all day, and I'm gettin' real edgy. Just don't got the dough to buy another lighter, so care to find my old one?

Sincerely,
James R. Johnson

P.S. Say hi to your daughter for me"

After deciding, Trent goes through the door. Inside, there is a small gallery room with many realistic looking paintings of people. Upon looking at each of the golden labels under each one, everyone of the people in these paintings have died. There are three doors here, one to the left, one to the right, and one straight ahead.

The mansion was quite large, it's 4 stories almost looming over Ryan. Lights were on, which meant that people were probably there. The front porch had 2 chairs and had a door curiously placed over it where the 2nd floor would be. The mailbox had it's flag down, meaning someone already took the mail.

To escape from the cops the ex-con escaped into the woods and emerged to where all the action is.

{For Robert}

Removing some of the knives, Robert drops them to the floor. After removing a few, her body opens up, revealing her innards. Examining her insides, each knife was piercing a vital organ, holding her body together as the middle was split. Robert sees that she has no spinal cord or ribcage. Her heart falls out of her desecrated body and lands on Robert's right shoe. Robert backs up a few paces, and soon her entire body follows, adding more blood to the already blood covered floor.

The mansion was quite large, it's 4 stories almost looming over Kent. Lights were on, which meant that people were probably there. The front porch has 1 chair and there is a balcony. The mailbox had it's flag down, meaning someone probably already took the mail. Sounds of the ocean are heard behind the mansion. As Kent looks at the structure, the storm ends.

{For Robert}

Striking a match, Robert puts it on a dry part of the girl's bloodstained clothes, causing it to light. Soon, her entire body catches fire and quickly burns away.

As Robert opens the door to the left, Robert's light shines on a figure with a horribly mauled face with no hair on it's head wearing completely shredded and torn clothes appears. The figure lunges at Robert on sight, and is only a few feet away from him.

Going to the back, Kent sees the ocean on the right, it looks like it's a cliff with the ocean and a rocky landing lying below. To the right there is a small patio with a few lawn chairs stretched out and a table with a few chairs and an umbrella in the middle, oddly enough none of them are wet at all. There are 2 doors that he sees and one window that is wide open.

Kent: I could might find a use for one of these lawn chairs...

Kent sneaks in while dragging the wooden chair.

{For Robert}

Robert rears his arm back and stabs the creature in the chest as it runs towards him. Although landing the stab very well, the creature hits Robert with it's claws and knock him down on his back where the ashes of the girl remain, fortunately not landing on any knives. The creature then walks towards Robert, it's claws extending more, and falls on its knees left of Robert. It looks like the knife may have done something after all, but Robert is unsure.

Although he tries to bring the lawn chair in, it simply is much too large to fit in through the window.

Inside, the room is very dark. It seems like the bright moonlight outside isn't transferring into the room and illuminating it.
