[Rear back and kick the creature]
over and over again. till my feet are sore.

kent: C'mon... there's got to be a good weapon or something around here...

"...I should have known... ...I do not think I'm staying in this spot much longer."

This haunting, this possession, this presence had to be the worst Trent had seen. Hallucination this early on was definitely a sign of things to come. Maybe there would even be an "encounter of the third kind", so to speak... Hopefully not one as strong as this one.

Trent left everything in it's place and walked into the room to the front, beginning to

with the notepad and pencil still in hand.

{For Robert}


Robert rears his legs bag and kicks the creature. He kicks the knife, which pushes itself through the creature and causes it to fall backwards. The creature begins to spasm before shortly dying, it's body not moving. It bleeds no blood, and it looks like Robert managed to kill it.

Bringing himself back to his feet, he checks the creature. Examining it, the monster has nothing in it's pockets.

Arms outstretched, Kent feels around for anything useful he may use. Suddenly, he trips over something large and hits the ground with a thud. Picking himself up, he feels a lighter on a table. Lighting it, it gives him sufficient light to see in the room. Bringing the light down to see what he tripped on, he discovers that he tripped over a corpse. The person looks like a former policeman, face completely torn off and clothes showing violently slash marks; his intestines are sticking out.

Searching the cop, he finds a night stick, a nearly dead flashlight, and 2 bullets.

Still using the lighter, Kent sees a single door that he can go through straight ahead.

Examining the paintings more thoroughly, Trent comes to appreciate the fine artwork even more. Each painting has the author's signature and the date it was made, and all the paintings where done by the same author only dating a few days apart from each other. Upon closer inspection comparing the dates with the golden labels, Trent notices that each person died within days of the painting being made.

Getting his knife, Robert goes to the door on the left and opens it. Fortunately this time nothing attacks him.

In the other room, Robert sees a small split hallway with 3 doors: one to the left, one ahead, and one to the right. This room is bright and, strangely enough, is painted blue instead of the common white wallpaper in the other rooms.

Kent opens the door and sees the next room. It's a rather brightly lit hall with 3 doors: one to the left, one ahead, and one to the right. This room is colored blue rather than the same white wallpaper in the other room]

{For Robert}

Entering the room ahead, Robert sees what probably is a bedroom. There is a single bed near an closed window that when looked through shows that the mansion has a back yard. Inside the room there is a police officer inspecting his gun. He doesn't notice Robert until the door closes.

Officer "HOLD IT! Oh...thank god. I thought you were another monster. Please, just sit down or something."

Robert takes a seat in a chair and the officer continues.

Seth "Sorry for that earlier. My name's Seth. I'm a police officer on duty. We heard reports that an escaped convict from the nearby prison had taken refuge in this mansion, but when I entered my radio broke and bats stole some of my supplies. I found a backpack a while back that had this gun and a 12 gauge, but the 12 gauge is out of ammo and this handgun's running low on ammunition.

...

Oh I'm sorry, what's your name again?"

"My name is Robert Vanderbilt Russell the third."

[Tell him that bag was yours]
"same thing with the bats happened to me, with that bag."

[ask if the mountain dew is still in there.]
"there should be some Mountain Dew in the bag, I am dying of thirst."

(*looks down at shirt* "why isn't there any blood on me? I killed the monster. was it real?)

{For Robert}

Seth "So Robert, this was your backpack? I should return this too you. And don't worry, your Mountain Dew's safe. I used a few bullets, though, so I hope you don't mind."

Seth hands over Robert's bag and the empty 12 gauge. Robert's getting a little encumbered.

"I hope you can find more ammo in this house. Man, I've seen a few corpses, but I haven't been able to bring myself to searching them. Maybe there's a..."

Before Seth can finish, a monster breaks through the window. Neither Robert nor Seth react fast enough to stop it, and the monster cuts Seth several times, and when Seth hits the ground the monster appears to be some kind of creature with 4 arms covered in razor blades. The monster punches through Seth's body and rips his intestines out and proceeds to tear his face off. The monster then shrieks upon seeing Robert's light and goes out the window, the window mysteriously self repairs itself and looks as it did before the monster attacked.

Seth's corpse lies on the ground. His body and clothes soaked completely with blood. It wouldn't light on fire right now. Seth's handgun lies on the ground, the gun chamber slid back to show he ran out of ammunition.

Trent goes through the door on the left and sees a very grim sight. He enters a kitchen, and the kitchen is completely covered in blood. The floor, refrigerator, stove, oven, the walls, everything has blood stained on it. In front of him is a table with a girl's bloody corpse on it. Her body has many knives in it, all of them looking like they came from this kitchen. The girl's body has no spinal cord or ribcage. Looking up, there are 3 doors: one to the left, one ahead, and one to the right.

"Ohh, damn... What is this? ...What the hell is this?!?"

Trent walks forward, almost tiptoeing towards the girl in the center, forming words that come out to a feeble

"C-Can you hear me? Are you--?"

Trent sighs a heavy sigh, eyes scanning the room for any danger, before swiftly deploying the largest blade on the swiss-army-knife connected to the charm-chain... Mustering up some sudden courage with a death-grip on the knife, Trent begins to

, planning with some off-the-wall chutzpah to

[Sleep on the bed]
"that couldn't happen, I probably fell asleep in the car, it should all be gone when I wake." *robert drops the pack on the floor turns off the light and goes to sleep*

{For Robert}

Robert pulls the covers over himself after he lies on the bed. Robert closes his eyes.

Suddenly Robert is up from his bed. He is no longer in the mansion where he was, but rather a dark forest surrounded with trees that bare no leaves. Getting out of bed automatically, Robert hears a howl. In an instant wolves appear from all around him. Robert has none of his supplies on him, and the wolves surround him and begin biting him apart. Soon one bites his throat and rips it out.

Falling out of the bed and landing next to the dead officer, Robert is once again in the mansion. Getting up, he sees that the bed now has bloodstains on it where he was lying, but Robert feels no wounds.

Bringing himself to search the girl, Trent checks on of her pockets. She has a bobby pin and a small LED lite. It still works and is quite bright. Checking her body, one blade that sticks out the most is the butcher knife lodged in her stomach.

Being careful not to slip on the blood on the floor, Trent goes across the bloody kitchen and opens the door. The door leads to a hall, which is very dark. Trent turns on his light.

A few paintings hang on the left and right walls, very well detailed, save one abstract painting. A few paces from where he is there is a lone door straight ahead.

"O-Okay, you're s--supercool, you're getting to the bottom of this pile..."

Meekly at first, Trent swings the butcher blade through the air... the thing is streamlined and moves with ease. In seconds the moves get fancier before Trent starts to test the blade itself, hacking into and slicing the table fairly well... And surreptitiously as possible.

Trent puts the swiss army knife away and attempts to sheathe the butcher knife... only to bare it when the thing keeps falling down.

Upon entering the hall, Trent continues the usual pattern, a bit quicker this time, and

before trying to pace down the hall to the door ahead, preparing the butcher knife at the ready...

[Cut self with Hunting Knife]
"huh, guess this is real."

{For Robert}

Cutting himself with the Hunting Knife just enough to draw minor blood, Robert is convinced he is not dreaming and decides to check Seth.

Seth has little on him. His pockets are empty and his only valuable possession is a night stick.

Robert examines Seth's gun. It looks nearly identical to the gun Robert currently has, only there is no mounted light. The chamber is back to show that it holds no rounds in the clip. Seth's gun's clip fit's Robert's gun.

After deciding, Robert is back in the Blue Hall with 2 doors leading to rooms he hasn't seen yet.

Examining the paintings, Trent gets a nice look at them. Even though he has to light them up with the LED lite, he sees just how well they were painted. The abstract painting catches his eye as strange, and it falls off the wall by itself, revealing a key.

Robert opens the door to the right and sees a grand sight. The well lit room is velvet red with 3 couches around a decorated table, thick, soft rugs on the floor, a fireplace, pictures on the walls and a large chandelier hanging overhead. Candles light the room up, and this room feels very nice after seeing the horrible sights from earlier. There are 2 rooms, one ahead and one to the right past the fireplace.

Kent opens the door and sees a very elegant and incredibly decorative room.the well lit room is velvet red with 3 couches around a very fine table, thick, soft rugs on the floor, a fireplace, pictures on the walls and a large chandelier hanging overhead. Candles light the room up, and this room feels very nice after seeing the horrible sights from earlier. There are 2 rooms, one ahead and one to the right past the fireplace.

There is another person standing in this room, looking up at the chandelier. He is wearing black leather shoes with black socks, black pants, and an unbuttoned navy blue caller shirt with a white T-shirt under it. The guy is wearing a backpack with a shotgun sticking out of it. He hasn't noticed Kent's presence.
